After working together for over a year at a small start up pet company, Mike and Nick saw a need in the pet industry and began building Green Coast Pet.

Pure Pet is proud to carry GREEN COAST PET in Carbondale, Illinois. As they would walk around industry trade shows they began to see the explosion of how hemp was being used for pets. Knowing a bit about hemp and how it has been being used for humans and seeing how it has helped family members and close friends, Mike and Nick knew there was a better way to deliver hemp to pets than what was being offered.

Wonderful locally owned store with a good variety of dog food and treats that are often not available at the big chain pet stores. They have toys and accessories for pets. Everything in the store is of top quality. They will hold items for a customer for up to 2 weeks if you need an item but are not able to get to the shop right away! The employees are all very helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. They welcome leashed pets and enjoy getting to know both the pet and the pet parent. The shop has pet washing stations that can be used instead of making a mess at your house. There is an area in the shop where they carry pet friendly baked goods. The store has special events throughout the year, including, but not limited to, pet pictures with Santa during the holidays. When you visit the Carbondale location, don't forget to say hello to the resident "Watch cat". Just be aware that Miss Kitty can be very protective of her personal space!
